I love playing at a Barn Venue and The Bryant wedding at the Overlook Barn in Banner Elk, North Carolina was truly a magical experience. The groom is also a member of the Charlotte Fire Department and we get to work together from time to time. I was super excited when he reached out to me about his wedding entertainment.
The trip up to the Overlook Barn was full of beautiful scenery. Once I arrived, it felt like the weather made a sudden shift and the weather changed. It started to drizzle and we quickly put our rain plan into effect and set up for an indoor ceremony. I mic'ed up the Officiant and we were ready to go! The Bride walked down to "From this moment" by Shania Twain. After the Ceremony, The Bridal Party walked out to "Signed , Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder. Cheers to Adventure was there to capture the whole thing on video! Check out their awesome video here.
As the Bridal Party left to go take pictures with Cameron Faye Photography, the rain that had been coming down turned into snow! Im sure the pictures came out beautiful.
During the cocktail hour , We were delighted to have local guitarist Dillon Cable
perform. Once the Bridal Party came back to the Barn and in true Firefighter fashion, I introduced them to "The Fireman" by Lil' Wayne!
After the formal dances, we kicked off the dance and I have to say, No one can party like a bunch of firefighters! The bride requested I start the dance with the classic "I want to dance with somebody" by Whitney Houston and the dance floor was immediately flooded with dancers! (Great call Lauren!)
The rest of the night was awesome great! At one point the bride came and took over the mic to sing along to one of her favorite Dixie Chicks songs!
To close the night, I played "The Time" by Black Eyed Peas. Thanks Phillip and Lauren , for letting me provide your wedding soundtrack.
